Where to find a new Laser Crystal in Telltale's The Expanse Episode 1?
With the addition of side quests to Telltale's The Expanse, you may need a little help with where to find a new Laser Crystal for Dr. Virgil.
The Expanse is the first game from the reborn version of Telltale, who originally went defunct back in 2018. Based on the hit science fiction show, the game follows fan-favourite character Camina Drummer before the events of the series, letting you create her origins yourself throughout a choose-your-own-adventure narrative.
If you're familiar with older Telltale titles, you'll notice some changes to gameplay here, such as the introduction of optional side quests. So, if you want to solve the first one, check out where to find a new Laser Crystal in Telltale's The Expanse Episode 1.

Where to find a new Laser Crystal in Telltale's The Expanse Episode 1
Click to enlargeTo find the Laser Crystal in Telltale's The Expanse Episode 1, you'll need to wait until you've gotten off your ship and begin the zero gravity section where you explore the wreckage of a destroyed U.N battleship.
Shortly after opening the bulkhead door, you'll be allowed to explore outside of the ship in space. After reaching this section, follow the steps below to find The Expanse Episode 1 laser Crystal:
Click to enlarge- Follow the HUD marker and boost your way across to the wreckage of the ship opposite you as the cutscene ends
- When you land, instead of heading inside, turn around, and look up and to the right of where you just came from
Click to enlarge- You'll see a pulsing orange light along with an entrance to another section of the ship; make your way there
- Once you land, follow the corridor past the NAV Beacon
Click to enlarge- At the end, there will be a yellow panel on the wall that's part of the Tight Beam Laser
- Press the corresponding button to smash it and pick up the Laser Crystal, completing the side quest
You'll now have the new Laser Crystal in The Expanse Episode 1, which Virgil needs for the ship's autodoc.
Completing these side quests has potential effects on the narrative, but we won't know what these are until Episode 2 releases.
