Well, it sounds like Leisure Suit Larry is no longer the horniest game on Main. While you might think Baldur's Gate 3 is just the next chapter in the long-running fantasy RPG series, this Dungeons & Dragons-adjacent title needs to go for a cold shower. Bonk - straight to horny jail.

Set 120 years after the events of BioWare's Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn from 2000, the latest game has been a long time coming. The randy RPG is already out on Windows PC, and as players get to grips with this new-gen Faerûn, they realise this definitely isn't one for kids.

Baldur's Gate 3 hired a voice actor for sex noises

One of Baldur's Gate 3's strangest features during its marketing campaign has been an emphasis on sex. There's already been a lot of debate about sex with bears (be careful what you Google), with devs warning this is just the tip of the NSFW iceberg.

Now, GamesRadar reports that voice actor Alex Jordan was hired just to make sex noises. Speaking in a TikTok video, Jordan explained his role in Baldur's Gate 3: "A studio that I've worked with a lot, they came to me and said 'do you want to voice act in Baldur's Gate 3?'"

He continued, "I said 'of course I want to voice act in Baldur's Gate 3. Who doesn't want to voice act in Baldur's Gate 3? But it's a little bit close to release, isn't it? What's the role?' They said 'no, no, not a role. We've finished recording all that stuff, I'm afraid. No, what we need is sexy sounds.'"

If you want to know what that involves, he said, "It was very awkward as I made sounds like 'mmgh' and 'ahh' and then I kissed my hand a whole lot. So you think about that. You mull that over as you run around, you little horny perverts, with your little perverted roleplays, you randy b*stards."

Baldur's Gate 3 uses sex respectfully

Although there is A LOT of sex in Baldur's Gate 3, the team ensured they remained respectful. The BBC noted that the game employed intimacy coordinators, following in the footsteps of other adult outings like Oppenheimer and HBO's Euphoria.

"I never felt 'yuck' in a recording session at all," said Shadowheart actor Jennifer English. "And I've got quite a low 'yuck' threshold." Larian claims it's one of the first to use intimacy coordinators in a fully rendered video game, but in the wake of #MeToo, hopes that more studios will follow suit.

Much like The Sims, you'll have to work at a relationship and reach a certain level of compatibility before you'll be able to roll in the hay. Either way, Baldur's Gate 3's romance options are proving controversial, with the now-infamous bear scene getting Larian briefly banned from TikTok.
