The Fairy Godmother is the newest character to arrive in Disney Dreamlight Valley as part of the 5th update, ‘The Remembering’, and you’ll need to complete the Miracles Take Time quest in order to unlock her.

Hiding in plain sight within the Forgotten Lands’ previously mysterious Pumpkin house, The Fairy Godmother has been revealed as its longtime resident within the game’s Valley. Luckily, unlocking this iconic character is easier than saying 'Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo’, so here’s a rundown of the Miracles Take Time quest to unlock the Fairy Godmother as a companion within Disney Dreamlight Valley.

To get the Fairy Godmother as a Villager in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll need to ensure that you’ve progressed through the story enough to have unlocked the Forgotten Lands.

  • Following that, head to the Pumpkin house located within the biome, and you’ll now be able to enter it as you can with any other home.
  • Here, you’ll find the Fairy Godmother - but as is par for the course within the Valley, you’ll need to help her complete a couple of tasks before she’ll accompany you on your daily duties around the village.

The Miracles Take Time quest is part of the main questline for The Remembering, and you’ll need to proceed through it before you can unlock the Fairy Godmother in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Here’s a full rundown of the steps you’ll need to follow to complete it.

  • Once inside the Fairy Godmother’s abode, you’ll need to speak with her. She’ll ask you to craft five Purified Night Shards.
  • To make these, you’ll need to collect Night Shards, which can be found throughout the world by digging up sparkling holes in the ground with your shovel.
  • Once you’ve crafted the correct amount, return to the Fairy Godmother, hand them over, and she’ll then ask you to meet her at a tall mountain located within the Forgotten Lands, which will transform into a treehouse with a flick of her magic wand.
  • Enter the treehouse, and you’ll now be in The Dreamscape. Fairy Godmother will then ask you to collect the memories located around the space.

After collecting them, it’s clear that there are some missing. You’ll now need to venture into three different portals, which will uncover the memories of The Forgotten.

Within these three portals, you’ll have to collect, craft, and uncover different items, from picking Ugly Flowers to make a Hideous Bouquet, to squishing flowers and growing Night Thorns.

Forgotten Memories: Friendship - Hideous Bouquet and Nasty Bouillabaisse

In the first portal, you’ll come across Goofy, Mickey, and Minnie Mouse. Mickey will ask you to collect flowers to create a bouquet for Minnie.

  • Look for sparkling, drooping flowers located around the area.
  • You’ll need to collect five of them before heading to the crafting station to make the Hideous Bouquet.
  • Once crafted, hand the Hideous Bouquet to Minnie.

Next, you’ll be tasked with speaking to Goofy, who wants to make a meal together.

  • Around the area, you’ll find more sparkling items - a Rotten Carrot, Rotten Clams, and a Rotten Tomato.
  • Collect these, head to the campfire and craft the Nasty Bouillabaisse found under 'Recipes' before giving them to him.

From here, you’ll return to The Dreamscape, where you’ll need to enter a second portal after speaking with the Fairy Godmother.

Forgotten Memories: Trust - Finding the Jewel-Encrusted Mirror in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The second portal sends you to the Glade of Trust, where Mother Gothel will ask you to find her lost Jewel-Encrusted Mirror after she’s instructed you to remove the Orb from the Pillar of Trust.

This is a relatively easy section to complete, as all it requires you to do is use your fishing rod at one of the glimmering golden fishing spots located in one of the bodies of water to find the Jewel-Encrusted Mirror.

It’s worth noting that there are a couple of these spots in the area, so it may take you a couple of tries to find it (the first spot we fished at gave us a Toy Story-themed ball, for example!)

Following a story segment that uncovers what happened to Mother Gothel for her to have been trapped in the willow tree from earlier in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s story, you’ll arrive once more in The Dreamscape.

Forgotten Memories: Nurturing - Planting Night Thorns in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Fairy Godmother will now point you towards the third and final portal, which is located in the Sunlit Plateau. Here, you’ll be met with Scar, who wants you to remove the Orb of Nurturing from its Pillar.

Around the area, you’ll find many of the flowers you’ll already likely be familiar with from the biome. You’ll need to squish these flowers, before Scar gives you Night Thorn seeds to plant by the Orb’s Pillar, the waterfall, and the Dreamlight Tree.

We’d recommend starting with planting and watering the seeds at the Orb’s Pillar first, before then heading to the Waterfall and finally, the Dreamlight Tree.

With the seeds planted and watered, and the Night Thorns fully grown, return to Scar. He’ll then return to his cave before being sealed in, and Merlin will appear.

Collect the Memory of Remembrance

After speaking with Merlin, you’ll then arrive back in The Dreamscape, where you’ll collect the final memory and can interact with the Memory of Remembrance in the central pillar of the room.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to collect it, as when you do, The Forgotten arrives and rushes off through a portal with it - marking the first time these two characters have ever interacted face-to-face.

Finally, return to the Fairy Godmother in the Forgotten Lands (we found her by the pond in the northwest section, next to the biome’s Pillar) and inform her of what has happened. That marks the end of the Miracles Take Time quest, and you’ll now be able to proceed with raising the Fairy Godmother’s friendship rank to unlock her as a companion.

To unlock the Fairy Godmother as a companion quickly following the Miracles Take Time quest, we’d recommend gifting her flowers found throughout the world.

Three of these should do the trick, which will then raise her Friendship Level to two, allowing you to select her particular role (we chose Gardening, since she lives in a pumpkin!).

Following this, simply speak with the Fairy Godmother once more and ask her to hang out!

And that’s it - everything you need to know about unlocking the Fairy Godmother in Disney Dreamlight Valley by completing the Miracles Take Time questline. For more guides and news, check out our Disney Dreamlight Valley homepage right here at GGRecon.
