That's not all though, as the 2023 roadmap for the remainder of the year showcases everything from Princess Vanellope to Belle, teases a "new Royal Tool" and the addition of multiplayer - so let's breakdown what we can expect to see in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

What is in the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update?
On May 30, 2023, Disney Dreamlight Valley's Twitter account detailed that the next update will include their "biggest story update yet" and will see players uncovering secrets from The Remembering.
Alongside these details, an accompanying image shows a player character standing beside the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella, with the mysterious Pumpkin house of the Forgotten Valley off to the side (will we finally learn who lives there?), plus a mysterious, never before seen treehouse!
A day prior on May 29, 2023, Gameloft also shared that players will be able to place multiple player homes throughout their Valley, with a video showcasing the default player home alongside skins which can be purchased in the Premium Shop:
New items are also said to be arriving, with what looks to be the Fairy Godmother's wand shown placed on a bench that looks strikingly similar to the one Cinderella cries on from the eponymous 1950 animated movie.
Umbrellas are also making their way into the Valley, though details on whether these serve simply as accessories or if there's an added purpose to them are currently unclear.
In the most recent roadmap that Gameloft shared in a news post on 31 May 2023, Disney Dreamlight Valley's fifth update is also set to bring a "Touch of Magic" with furniture and mannequins, lining up with a previous Tweet that showcased different saved outfits displayed on mannequins that players can then wear.
Additionally, this ties in with another Tweet, sharing that players will be able to add a "personal Touch" to the valley with a new addition, pointing at the option to edit the appearance of furniture items.
Many of these details were confirmed on June 6, 2023, when Gameloft revealed a story and update trailer for the 5th update alongside the confirmation of the release date.
Disney Dreamlight Valley 2023 roadmap details
Looking ahead to the rest of 2023 outside of the fifth update, there's plenty to get excited for - from the images in the roadmap alone, we can see Princess Vanellope from Wreck-It Ralph, Belle from Beauty and The Beast, and an hourglass in the sand.
Whether these characters will be companions like Prince Eric and Anna remain to be seen, but it's still undoubtedly very exciting for players - especially as Belle has been shown on key art since Disney Dreamlight Valley went into early access.
We can also see what to expect in Disney Dreamlight Valley's upcoming Star Paths, celebrating D100 and Pixar, with the roadmap showing icons relating to Turning Red, Dory from Finding Nemo, and Inside Out. Later in the year, another Star Path has been teased, with 'darkness' set to re-appear as a theme.
Additional content set to be arriving throughout the year following update five are:
- Summer Update: A new villager, and a feature to win in-game prizes
- September: A new realm and new friends
- Late 2023: New characters, new 'Frontiers', a new Royal Tool, Multiplayer, and more
What is the next Star Path?
While it's unconfirmed as to precisely when the next Star Path will appear in Dreamlight Valley, on June 5, 2023, the previously-teased Pixar Star-Path was shown off further in an additional Tweet from Gameloft, detailing the 'Wonder of Pixar' themed pass and that it will arrive "very soon":
This image shows off everything from characters in a Turning Red-themed onesie and statues of pandas, to a fish tank, an alternative look for Buzz Lightyear, and even what looks to be some sort of capsule vending machine.
