Will Starfield be released on PS5?

The long-awaited arrival of Starfield is just around the corner, and many fans of huge role-playing games will be wondering if the next major release from Bethesda will be coming to the PS5 - so here's what we know.

Starfield is the first time a Bethesda RPG is taking us to space, and is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year so far, whilst also being the first game developed by Bethesda since Fallout 76 in 2018 - and their first single-player game since Fallout 4 three years earlier. 

In the past, whether or not a Bethesda game was coming to PlayStation wasn’t much of a question for fans, but since Microsoft acquired them it is no longer a guarantee. So let’s dive into whether or not we can expect one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, Starfield, to arrive on PS5.

Sadly, Starfield will not be releasing on the PS5. Since the acquisition of Microsoft buying Bethesda, it has been announced that the game will only be available on Xbox and PC.

Because of this, it also seems incredibly unlikely that the game will be coming to the PS5 later down the line. It will be interesting to see if this will remain the case for all Bethesda-released games going forward, but only time will tell.
