Will Diablo 4 be on Xbox Game Pass?

Diablo 4 is one of the biggest releases upcoming in 2023. It’s been a long time since the last iteration, and while side titles such as Diablo Immortal have been released, anticipation for the new mainline entry is at an all-time high.

On top of this excitement, there is also the looming possibility that Microsoft could be acquiring Activision Blizzard at some point. With that, it’s gotten quite a few people talking about the likelihood of Diablo 4 joining Xbox Game Pass when it arrives later this year.

With more and more third-party games arriving into Xbox Game Pass on day one, let’s find out if Diablo 4 could be joining those ranks.

Will Diablo 4 be on Xbox Game Pass?

After years and years of waiting, it seems strange to finally say that Diablo 4 releases this year. In fact, the game is expected to launch on June 6.

Activision Blizzard’s release schedule for this year has perhaps been put on the back burner due to the huge headlines surrounding the merger with Microsoft. Many had hoped it would have been approved by now, but an ongoing dispute between Sony, regulators, and Microsoft is pushing its potential acquisition further back.

With that being said, there are no confirmed plans for Diablo 4 to join Xbox Game Pass when it launches this June. The deal between the two companies is looking as though it still has quite a ways to go before completion, with no end in sight in the next few months.

Of course, this is all subject to change. Microsoft has announced its Xbox Showcase will be taking place on June 11, and while this is after the Diablo 4 release date, we could be hearing more about its plans with Activision Blizzard there.

Until then, if you want to play Diablo 4, you will have to pick up the game on June 6. Alternatively, you can also purchase the Ultimate or Digital Deluxe edition for four days of early access, allowing you to play the game from June 2.
