Gathering Silver Leaves for the Destiny 2 Solstice 2023 event is going to dominate the next few weeks of many players' time. Destiny 2 only has a handful of ways to get high-stat armour, but the Solstice is a useful event for acquiring armour that comes to the game each year.

Silver Leaves are the primary currency involved in the event and, more specifically, in upgrading your Solstice armour. Here is everything you need to know about Silver Leaves in Destiny 2's Solstice event.

Silver Leaves are acquired by doing basically any activity. Strikes, Crucible matches, Gambit, missions, public events, just about anything that qualifies as 'doing something' will net you some Silver Leaves.

If you have other things you want to do in the game, you can passively accrue Silver Leaves as you play. If you are looking to gain them as quickly as possible, there are some activities that reward you with more Silver Leaves than others.

Your best bet is to grind out Altars of Sorrow. This activity grants Silver Leaves as you complete rounds, and a big pile of them when you complete the final round. Add in some patrols that you can pick up as you go, and the fact that you can complete several Solstice challenges while you're at it, and this is the ultimate destination for farming Silver Leaves.

As mentioned, Silver Leaves are used for upgrading your Solstice armour. That said, there are a few steps before you do that. First of all, you must take your gathered Silver Leaves into Bonfire Bash. You can only hold a maximum of 100 Silver Leaves at one time, so you cannot farm them indefinitely.

Completing a Bonfire Bash will burn some of your Silver Leaves, creating the Silver Ash you use for upgrading your Solstice armour. How many leaves you burn in one go depends on how much Solstice armour you are wearing. To burn up as many Silver Leaves as possible, be sure to wear a full set of Solstice armour when you complete Bonfire Bash.

Once you turn your Silver Leaves to Silver Ash, you can then use it in your Solstice armour upgrades, provided you have also gathered enough Kindling.

For the most determined among you, there is a way to cheese the first mission of the Lightfall campaign to rapidly gather Silver Leaves. To do this, you will need two players, and to reach the part of the mission where you must board a Cabal drop pod.

Using the drop pod will give you a decent amount of Silver Leaves. To cheese it, only one player can use the drop pod. Afterwards, that player must swap to another character and then rejoin the mission. Then the other player repeats those steps, and the whole cycle is repeated until everyone involved has as many Silver Leaves as they want.
