Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris is back for another weekend of the game's toughest PvP competition, and while the pinnacle competitive mode is a huge challenge, its rewards are equally significant. As with all things in Destiny 2, Trials of Osiris operates under the same daily and weekly resets as everything else. The start day is always Friday, at the daily reset time. That time differs depending on where you are in the world. The reset time is 6 PM BST/10 AM PDT/1 PM EDT.

Older fans will remember Trials of Osiris as a weekend activity, and it still very much is, but in recent years Trials has spilt over into the following week. Now, Trials of Osiris ends every Tuesday, when the Destiny 2 weekly reset happens. This gives players a couple of extra days to grind out the loot they need.

Bungie has teased new Trials of Osiris armour coming in Destiny 2 Season 22. Check it out below:

Each week, one map is designated as the Trials of Osiris map. To further the competitive nature of the mode, Trials is locked to a set of maps for the whole weekend, to ensure every match takes place on the exact same battlefield.

As of 6 PM BST/10 AM PDT/1 PM EDT on August 18, the Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris map is Altar of Flame.

Check out the above map courtesy of map maker Relikt. Be sure to study the ins and outs of the map before diving into Trials, it might just win you a few rounds.

The real reason we are all here is for the rewards. Trials weapons and armour are among the most coveted items in the game, reserved only for those brave enough or skilled enough to take on the challenge.

Trials rewards have changed over the years, and nowadays Saint-14 works much like other ritual vendors. There are ranks to unlock, engrams to win, and gear that can be focused.

As such, these were the Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris rewards for August 18 - 22:

  • Rank 4 - Upgrade Module
  • Rank 7 - Enhancement Prisms
  • Rank 10 - Trials Weapon
  • Rank 13 - Upgrade Modules
  • Rank 16 - Trials Weapon
  • Flawless Run Completion - Unexpected Resurgence (Adept)

All other Trials gear can be acquired as random drops from Trials engrams. Once earned, an item can be focused with an engram (and some materials) to help you get the roll you want.

That is it for our Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris explainer for August 18 - 22. For more tips, check out our Destiny 2 build crafting or Destiny 2 emblem and shader codes guides.
