A question you'll rarely have to ask yourself is whether you'd prefer to buy the most expensive CS:GO skin or buy a reasonably large house, as CS:GO fans know all too well the madness of the skin market - with cosmetic items fetching tens and even hundreds of thousands of dollars in 2023.

Due to the game's extra features like stickers, StatTrak, and rarity, skins can go for eye-watering amounts of money within these ranges. And while CS:GO's most expensive skin may cost a truly eye-watering sum, that's not the only way you can burn your life savings.

So, here is everything you need to know about the most expensive skin in CS:GO, as well as the many more costly items ever sold as of 2023.

What is the most expensive CS:GO skin? (2023)

According to csgoskins.gg, the most expensive CS:GO skin right now is the Souvenir Factory New AWP | Dragon Lore, which will set you back around $414,845.

This is obviously extraordinarily expensive, featuring a skin float value of 0.03 which is almost as high as you can get.

You could realistically buy a house with this amount, but we would hope that anyone willing to drop $400k on a weapon skin would already have stuff like that sorted.

If you're after more of the most expensive skins in CS:GO, make sure to check out our list below, courtesy of csgoskins.gg, for all of the highest-value weapon, knife, and glove skins in the game:

Skin Price
Factory New Sport Gloves | Pandora's Box $55,312.65
Factory New Sport Gloves | Hedge Maze $29,730.62
Factory New Sport Gloves | Vice $22,124.97
Factory New Sport Gloves | Superconductor $16,317.27
StatTrak M4A4 | Howl $12,791.08

Factory New AK-47 | Wild Lotus $11,173.04
Souvenir AK-47 Gold Arabesque $9,600.00
Factory New AWP | The Prince $4,298.91

As you can see, the Sport Gloves can fetch a pretty price across all of its variants, with the Pandora's Box being a particular favourite at a whopping $55,000.

Classics like the M4A4 Howl and AWP Gungnir appear on the list too, with the Howl being of particular interest as there is no way to get it anymore outside of third-party sites as it is a Contraband skin due to copyright issues.

Most expensive weapon stickers in CS:GO

Alongside the weapon skins are the most expensive weapon stickers, which fetch an exceedingly high price considering what they are. Check out the table below for all of the top picks and their corresponding prices on csgoskins.gg:

Sticker Price
iBUYPOWER (Holo) Katowice 2014 $81,432.60
Titan (Holo) Katowice 2014 $71,214.00
Reason Gaming (Holo) Katowice 2014 $49.525.11
Vox Eminor (Holo) Katowice 2014 $39.948.00
Team Dignitas (Holo) Katowice 2014 $26.826.70
Team LDLC.com (Holo) Katowice 2014 $24.048.42
keshandr (Gold) Krakow 2017 $11,062.55
Natus Vincere (Holo) Katowice 2014 $9,788.15
HellRaisers (Holo) Katowice 2014 $9,617.28

The majority of the stickers above are from the EMS One Katowice 2014 Major tournament, and this is because it was the first major to receive a sticker capsule.

Not only do most of the stickers from this capsule sit in the tens of thousands, but the two capsules themselves will set you back at least $20,000 each.

You do, of course, have the chance to score big though, with the iBUYPOWER and Titan Holos being legendary within the community. The iBP option in particular sits at the top due to both its visual similarity to the M4A4 Howl skin, but also the infamous iBP match-fixing scandal.

Considering that you can stack four of these skins on a weapon, it can theoretically increase the price of any skin by around $325,000.

What is the highest-ever bid on a CS:GO skin?

The highest-ever bid on a CS:GO skin surfaced in 2021, when a potential buyer made an offer of $1.5 million, or more specifically 1.2 million in Euro, for a Karambit | Case Hardened. To this bid, the owner responded "not interested" and then "1.2 is low".

The reason for a price this high is due to the specific pattern, which many deem to be the most beautiful in the game. While the highest average value for a Case Hardened Karambit will usually be around $2,000, this particular pattern is far more consistently blue, and is also incredibly rare, which is why the price is so high.

Now, we don't know who you need to be to say that over a million dollars is a low offer for a blue knife in a video game, but such is the world we live in.

That is it for our rundown of the most expensive CS:GO skins ever sold. For more, head to our CS:GO homepage, or find out how to check who has Counter-Strike 2 access.
