SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have confirmed Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is going to include a special trial version of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

The special trial version will include content which will not be in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth when it is released in early 2024.

A new trailer for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, which was released on 18 August on the SEGA Asia(EN) YouTube channel, showcases some of the upcoming game's mechanics as well as going into more detail on the plot.

The end of the seven minute long trailer, shows the game's protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu, meeting up with Ichiban Kasuga, the protagonist for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, in a container park.

In a developer update which followed the release of the trailer, director Masayoshi Yokoyama, said: “As you may have been surprised to see, we’re including a special trial version of next year’s Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth as bonus content with the purchase of Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.”

In a post on Facebook, RGG Studio_SEA shared that the demo would be accessible after the completion of Like A Dragon Gaiden. This was also confirmed by Yokoyama in the developer update.

The post said: "A special demo for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be included as bonus content with Like a Dragon Gaiden. This demo can be unlocked by completing Like a Dragon Gaiden, and it features special additional scenes that will not be included in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth."

Since the content has been confirmed to include additional scenes which will not be in the final game, Like A Dragon Gaiden will be the only place fans of the Yakuza: Like A Dragon franchise will be able to experience the content.

Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name releases on 9 November, allowing players to get their hands on content for Infinite Wealth a good few months before the game is released next year.
