Where is the secret cave in The Sims 4 Horse Ranch?
Click to enlargeIf you're looking for the hidden Dreadhorse Caverns in The Sims 4 Horse Ranch, you may get a tad lost.
The best way to find the sheltered cave is to travel to the Gooseman's house in the upper left corner of the Galloping Gulch neighbourhood.
- From this neighbourhood, centre the camera on the stone bridge across from the house.
- Pan the camera down to the base of the bridge, and you'll spot a little cliff sign.
- From the sign, turn the camera around to the right of the bridge and there will be a sheltered cave entrance, surrounded by trees.
- To enter the Dreadhorse Caverns, simply interact with the entrance and you will begin the adventure.

Is there a top level of Dreadhorse Caverns in The Sims 4 Horse Ranch?
Click to enlargeAs of writing, there doesn’t seem to be a top level of the Dreahorse Caverns, but rather they are procedurally generated to go on forever. This was found by Simmer OnlyAbiDoang, who tapped into the code and saw the max level was set to one billion.
The Dreadhorse Caverns operate in a similar way to the sewer tunnels in The Sims 4 Werewolves Pack, where you will be prompted with encounters and must choose which action your Sim will respond with.
The interactions differ slightly in The Sims 4 Horse Ranch, however, as they are turn-based, and a combat encounter may last for several turns. When it is your turn, you can choose to attack or defend and heal yourself.
Once you have attacked the creature and taken enough points from its health, you can progress.
It may take your Sim more than one attempt to get to the treasure and you can only usually attempt the caverns once a day as your Sim will leave them feeling dazed.
The best way to get the treasure in one turn is to keep an eye on your Sim's health points and defend when necessary to heal. Defending may randomly result in the creature losing interest and leaving the encounter too.

You can also get rewards for passing the encounters within the caverns, it is possible to get these rewards automatically with cheats, to do so simply enable the cheat box and type testingcheats on.
Then hold shift and click on the Dreadhorse Caverns entrance, click the option to 'Give all Cave Items'.
