Whenever a new season arrives in Apex Legends, the community is always looking to identify the weapon that's going to dominate the meta.

In Season 17, the Nemesis stood above the rest for long-range skirmishes, and the Prowler was an absolute monster at close quarters.

With the devs confirming no Nemesis nerfs are coming, the AR will likely retain its crown as the premium option for lasing beaming foes. However, when it comes to face-to-face combat, a position has opened up as the Prowler is heading into the Care Package.

With this in mind, TSM pro Philip "ImperialHal" Dosen has revealed which close-range gun he thinks is going to be "busted" in Apex Legends Season 18.

ImperialHal claims Peacekeeper will be 'busted' in Season 18

During a recent Twitch stream, ImperialHal was discussing all of the Season 18 weapon changes but was particularly excited about a specific shotgun.

According to Hal, the Peacekeeper shotgun is going to be "busted" in Resurrection as the gun now has access to the Disruptor Rounds Hop Up.

This allows the weapon to deal more damage against shielded targets and as the PK already has devastating firepower, this could be a lethal combination.

"PK is going to be busted as f**k with Disruptor, you'll be able to one pump a white shield," said the TSM IGL, hinting that we may see Hal running the Peacekeeper in comp.

What other weapons are going to be strong in Season 18?

Other than the Peacekeeper, there are a select set of other guns that are worth keeping your eye on in Season 18. While the Nemesis is heading into crafter, it remains the top-tier long-range option, so don't be afraid to collect some materials and head to a replicator to secure the deadly AR.

As well as this, nerfs to strafe speed for every SMG and reduced bullet spread on the Mastiff could make the powerful shotgun a brilliant pick in Resurrection.

Finally, the reworked Charge Rifle's power is a mystery for now, but make sure to test it out at the start of the season, there's always the chance it's unbelievably OP.
