The release date of the Castlevania sequel was finally revealed on the series' official Twitter, with its first tweet being the premiere's reveal.

As explained during its first reveal and confirmed further in the new Castlevania: Nocturne trailer shown above, the series is a follow-up to the original four-season Castlevania show - featuring protagonist Richter Belmont.
Set in 1792 during the French Revolution, Castlevania: Nocturne takes place over 300 years after the original Castlevania. Whereas the first series is based on the games Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, Castlevania: Nocturne has been adapted from Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and the sequel, Symphony of the Night.
Depicting the story of franchise favourite, Richter Belmont, the dark fantasy animated series will cover the gaming icon's origins and his fight against the vampire hordes in the late 19th century.
Also featuring fellow warriors, mages, and many bloodsuckers, the long-awaited Castlevania sequel will, of course, see more of the Netflix franchise's stunning animation with the return of animation studio, Powerhouse Animation.
