Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff has returned to streaming following a massive controversy surrounding his Call of Duty skin and comments about the LGBTQ+ community.

The controversy has split opinions in the Call of Duty scene, with many believing that his skin's deletion was valid and an apology should be imminent. Others have rallied behind him and begun an active boycott of the series.

But with his return to Twitch, NICKMERCS has now claimed that the Call of Duty "shot and missed" in trying to get him cancelled.

During his much-hyped return to streaming, NICKMERCS justified his comments again, reiterating that he "isn't anti-LGBTQ+" but believes that he should teach his child about these subjects, rather than schools.

Despite the efforts to enforce his "peace and love" motif, Kolcheff continued to hit back at the cancel culture advocates. "They really did try to come for. They tried to chain my ass up. They wanted me gone. Isn't that crazy? They shot and missed, that's like rule number one in cancellation."

NICKMERCS claims his return to streaming is 'so much worse' for cancel culture advocates

"If you try and cancel someone, you cannot try and fail. God dammit you motherf**kers, that's just made it so much worse for you," he continued before cracking out a laugh.

"Rule number one is, 'you cannot miss', and you whiffed, you air-balled, that was the corniest attempt to cancel anybody I have ever seen," he added.

It's safe to say that NICKMERCS won't be returning to Call of Duty though, so maybe the culture did work in some capacity. He's lost out on another contract with the developers surrounding co-streaming and it looks like there's no love lost between both sides.

The streamer has now set his sights on the supposed CoD killer called XDefiant. If that doesn't work, there's always Apex Legends again. Either way, we're probably not going to see him at the Modern Warfare 3 launch.
