Despite being nearly seven years old, Pokemon GO is still massively popular around the world and has a passionate community that looks forward to every update.

However, over recent months, fans haven't been happy with all the decisions the devs have been making.

Whether it's flaming Rising Heroes at the 'worst' season ever or even accusing Niantic of bullying the player base, it's safe to say the Pokemon GO community has not been satisfied with the direction the game has been taking.

Well, now fans have raised another issue that they're keen for the developers to fix, and it revolves around the lack of accessibility options.

Taking to TheSilphRoad subreddit, user WeaponisedArmadillo decided to create a thread discussing the lack of accessibility options in Pokemon GO.

For them, it's shocking that in 'five weeks Pokémon GO turns 7 and to this day it has no accessibility settings.'

They argue this is unacceptable in a time where 'other games come with extensive accessibility settings' and even went as far as to say that it's a 'massive black mark' on Niantic's reputation that they need to address.

It's hard to know how much development time Niantic would be willing to allocate to accessibility as it doesn't contribute to new exciting content. Although quality-of-life features always result in a better experience for players, they rarely generate much excitement.

In order to help Niantic, WeaponisedArmadillo suggested some potential accessibility options that included colour blindness settings, a toggle that switches tapping gestures with hold gestures, difficulty settings, adjustable text sizes, and closed captions.

Other users in the thread also put their ideas forward, with one asking for an 'option to get rid of the white flashes you get while switching screens,' this is because these animations 'trigger migraines' for them.

Finally, another player put forward the idea of visual 'indicators when Pokemon spawn' as they're partially deaf and struggle to find their location.

As you can see, the community has put forward countless brilliant accessibility suggestions in the thread, we'll just have to hope Niantic take note and implement them in the near future.
