The Modern Warfare 3 Reveal Event begins August 17, 2023, at 6:30pm BST. However, early birds can launch Warzone and join the festivities at 5:30pm BST to enjoy Double Player, Weapon, and Battle Pass XP.

How to play the Shadow Siege Limited-Time Event in MW2

The Modern Warfare 3 Reveal is part of the Shadow Siege Limited-Time Event. To play Shadow Siege, boot up the game and look for the Shadow Siege playlist.

Shadow Siege serves as a preview of Modern Warfare 3. While the Call of Duty Staff has kept a lot of the details under wraps, we do have some intel.

In Shadow Siege, players must work together to storm the Zaya Observatory on Al Mazrah. Against all odds, Modern Warfare's notorious villain, Makarov, remains alive and well — and he's up to no good again. Makarov and Konni forces are developing chemical weapons at the Zaya Observatory, so it's on us to join Shadow Company and thwart their efforts.

You can unlock a bunch of different rewards for participating in the Modern Warfare 3 Reveal and the Shadow Siege Limited-Time Event. You can use these items instantly in Warzone and MW2, and thanks to the Carry Forward, they'll be available to you in Modern Warfare 3 too, when it releases.

Below is a list of all the rewards and what objectives you must complete to unlock the items:

• M13C Assault Rifle: Help eliminate five Commanders
• Crimson Sound Calling Card: Successfully extract from the mission
• Battle Token Tier Skip: Intercept five radio transmissions from Makarov
• Konni Group Emblem: Explore the Observatory
• Serpent Slayer Vehicle Skin: Secure the missile launcher
• Gas Canister Charm: Deliver Gas Canisters as a single squad in a single deployment
