The Hunt location for the Bygul Notorious Mark in Final Fantasy 16 can be a tricky one to find, but the rewards for doing so are exponential once you do.

While the Hunt Board in the game will give you clues as to where each of the Notorious Marks is, you may need a bit of help finding the exact spot to find and defeat your quarry.

Where is Bygul in Final Fantasy 16? Hunt map location

As you can see in the map location above, the Bygul Hunt in Final Fantasy 16 is located in Waloed. Your best fast-travel point will be the Ravenwit Walls marker.

From there, head North-East toward Kritten Hollow and make for the larger open area nearby. You’ll see the Bygul, a large, horned lion-type creature skulking about.

The Bygul is a Level 40 enemy, so before you start charging in, make sure you are at or above the appropriate level. The last thing you want is to become a Bygul’s breakfast.

How to defeat Bygul in Final Fantasy 16

To defeat the Bygul Notorious Mark in Final Fantasy 16, you’ll need to take care to time your precise dodges carefully to help bolster your damage and secure a window to attack.

The Bygul specialises in electrically charged attacks and uses its long whip for some deadly range. It’s Whipcrack especially is a wild lightning-based attack that can be difficult to predict.

While the battlefield is large, the Bygul can use large AoE attacks that can fill the whole arena, so be prepared to dodge plenty of lightning.

Fighting from range using charged magic and Heatwave can chip away at its health, while Garuda’s Gouge attack, when there is enough of an opening, can slice through its stagger bar.

What are the Bygul Hunt rewards in Final Fantasy 16?

As the Bygul is an A-tier Notorious Mark, the rewards for defeating it are quite substantial. For defeating the Bygul in Final Fantasy 16, you’ll be rewarded with:

• 1x Coeurl Whisker
• 1x Meteorite
• 35x Renown
• 16,000 Gil

The Coeurl Whisker is a particularly precious reward, as it is used in some of the rarer crafting recipes that Blackthorne the Blacksmith can utilise.
