The Hunt location for the Gobermouch Notorious Mark in Final Fantasy 16 can be a tricky one to find, but the rewards for doing so are exponential once you do.

While the Hunt Board in the game will give you clues as to where each of the Notorious Marks is, you may need a bit of help finding the exact spot to find and defeat your quarry.

Where is Gobermouch in Final Fantasy 16? Hunt map location

As you can see in the map location above, the Gobermouch Hunt in Final Fantasy 16 is located in Waloed. Your best fast-travel point will be the Eistla marker.

From there, head North toward The Maudlin Mason and make for the larger open area nearby. You’ll see a scrawny goblin cowering nearby, but don’t let him fool you. He is your mark, and he is deadly.

You’ll only be able to access this Notorious Mark Hunt from the Hunt Board during the “Brotherhood” main quest.

How to defeat Gobermouch in Final Fantasy 16

To defeat the Gobermouch Notorious Mark in Final Fantasy 16, you’ll need to take care to time your precise dodges carefully to help bolster your damage and secure a window to attack.

The goblin has three significant attack types that you should watch out for:

• Standard swings with a club that can be easily dodged
• Little Swing - which causes it to spin wildly toward you
• Goblin Punch – a three-part attack that can deal significant damage

Once you have worked out your timing and the telegraphs the goblin will make, you’ll be able to command the space and take it down with little trouble.

What are the Gobermouch Hunt rewards in Final Fantasy 16?

As the Gobermouch is an A-tier Notorious Mark, the rewards for defeating it are quite substantial. For defeating the Gobermouch in Final Fantasy 16, you’ll be rewarded with:

• 4,800 XP
• 15,000 Gil
• 90 Ability Points
• 30 Renown
• 1x Primitive Battlehorn

The Primitive Battlehorn is a particularly precious reward, as it is one of the components needed to craft the Gotterdammerung, one of the strongest weapons in the game, and the key to getting the Silver rarity “Half Past Twilight” trophy.
