Keeping more potions with Clive is essential for survival; unfortunately, the inventory capacity in Final Fantasy 16 is low for most of the game. Thankfully, there's someone that arrives at The Hideaway that will help you expand your bag for more potions. However, you'll need to finish a few tasks for her to get the reward. Here's how to increase inventory capacity in Final Fantasy 16.

When can you increase inventory capacity in Final Fantasy 16?

In order to increase inventory capacity in Final Fantasy 16, you'll need to meet the highly-spirited Mid. She's introduced into the game after fighting Hugo Kupka the first time and returning to The Hideaway. This happens in a significantly deep section of the game. The blonde-haired girl will ask you to collect resources for her. After completing your tasks, you can increase your inventory capacity in Final Fantasy 16

Go speak to Charon and Blackthorne in The Hideaway. They're highlighted in red markers. Give them both the lists Mid has written. Next, talk to the carpenter Bardolph who's on the pier underneath. Take the elevator down. You'll see him looking at a piece of paper. He says he's too busy, but you may be able to find help from someone named Bernard at Martha's Rest. Fast travel there on the world map. Martha says he's near the ruins of Cressida.

Follow the red marker outside of Martha's Rest. Bernard is on the other side of a bridge with a white top and a black bandana. He agrees to help you, but you'll need to take out all of the monsters near his parents' graves first. They should be easy to dispatch. Once they're disposed of, return to the Hideaway and speak with Mid. The Getting to Work quest is now complete.

Now, we have to wait for Bernard to arrive. Continue the Bolts from the Blue quest line. You'll find out more about Torgal's backstory. Mid will then barge in. After some construction, she's almost ready to help you. Continue the Bolts from the Blue quest line again by speaking to Vivian.

Carry on the main storyline until you've finished the Into the Darkness mission. The ending of it has an arduously long boss fight. After experiencing it, begin the Out of the Shadow mission. Gather the necessary materials during this quest. It will be waiting for you east of the Dalimil Inn.

Find the stardust you need lying by the river and deliver it. Blackthorne will now get to work. You'll annoyingly get another fetch quest right after called Letting Off Steam II. You'll be faced with an Ahriman boss. Avoid or parry its attacks, and you should be able to take it down easily.

Keep following this long Out of the Shadow quest line and go to Harpocrates. You'll then find another Letting Off Steam quest. Buy the Pepio Nuts and Garlic required to complete this filler mission. It's like watching an episode of Naruto. Gosh. Hand the ingredients over to the character you chose to accompany you.

After a cutscene or two, head back to The Hideaway and talk to Harpocrates. The Moondew is now ready. Speak to Mid, and the construction will be underway. Blackthorne might be tired but at least, the first engine for the Enterprise has been built. Speak to her and the quest will be completed.

Finally, you should now be able to accept the Weird Science quest from Owain. He's in Mid's workshop. He asks for Bomb Ash. You'll need to accept the bomb king hunt board request to get this resource. Speak to your moogle friend and ask about the bomb sightings. The board tells you to go to The Crock, Sanbrewque.

Go to Dragon's Aery on the World Map. You'll find the bomb king southeast of The Dragon's Aery in the Imperial Chase area. It's spotted in The Crock section.

The Bomb King will appear before you. Be careful of the Witan attack, which has this creature explode in a large range. Dodge out of the way if you can. It also creates minions around itself. Try to take them out with magic from far away. I found this boss easy, making the difficulty options superfluous.

Keep your distance as they can blow up at any time. Gain the bomb ash from the ground, and you're good to go. Go back to Owain, and you can now use more potions! Specifically, you can hold two more potions, one more High Potion, and one more Strength Tonic and Stonekin Tonic.

Later on in the game, you can take on the Even Weirder Science Quest that once completed expands your bag even more. This quest is available after finishing the Across the Narrow mission.
