Uncharted is coming to UK cinemas, and though it might be set to arrive with little fanfare beyond the average Friday night action-movie frequenters, video game fans are excited. Of course, there is reason for concern, as with any adaptation of a video game, but for the most part, Nathan Drake was destined for the big screen, and though many worried that Tom Holland might be too young for the role, he's an incredibly wise choice to bring Drake to general audiences.

And now, Tom has revealed what gaming series he wants to see take to the big screen next.

Tom Holland Wants To Make A Jak And Daxter Movie

In an interview on the recent press tour for Uncharted, Tom Holland has revealed what video game movie adaptation he'd like to star in next, and his answer is pretty unpredictable. It turns out that he'd like to be a part of a big-screen version of the Naughty Dog classic Jak and Daxter movie, but he's got some rather specific demands for it.

"I would like to make a Jak and Daxter movie, and I would play Jak" he says, "But I would make it at A24, so it was really weird and like, dark. I would do like a really weird, live-action version of Jak and Daxter."

The movie pitch is bizarre, but you know what? We'll take it. Someone get Ari Aster on the phone.

What Video Game Adaptations Are On The Way?

We've got a wealth of video game adaptations on the way for both the big and small screen, and they all look incredibly promising. The Halo series is coming to Paramount+, the long-awaited The Last of Us series will be coming to HBO, It Takes Two is set to arrive on the big and small screen alike, and the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog and Illumination's Super Mario Bros movie should both be with us by the end of the year.

We're absolutely inundated with adaptations, with new adaptations of Metal Gear, Five Nights at Freddy's and Ghost of Tsushima on the way too, so we're certainly not at a loss for new ways to experience our favourite games.

We're looking forward to Uncharted, but equally excited about this made-up adaptation of Jak and Daxter, purely because A24 making a video game movie is a concept too intriguing to ignore. Let Alex Garland direct the Mirror's Edge movie, you cowards.
