MrBeast deletes tweet about Beast Burger closure
It was good while it lasted, but less than three years after Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson opened MrBeast Burger, could the fast food outlet be turning off the fryers and shutting the doors? It's hardly the Happy Meal we were expecting.
There have been many endeavours for content creators to branch out from streaming, with Logan Paul and KSI's Prime probably being the most famous. Still, MrBeast's attempt to muscle into the packed fast food market looked like it was going great guns, sorry, we mean great buns.
Is MrBeast Burger closing?
In a series of tweets, Donaldson seemed to suggest that Beast Burger is coming to an end. After starting as a virtual brand in 2020, the first physical MrBeast Burger opened in New Jersey last September. Don't expect more Beast Burgers to be popping up around the globe.
When one fan questioned why MrBeast's YouTube deleted his "I Opened A Restaurant That Pays You To Eat At It" video, the man himself stepped into the debate. As well as saying he can't guarantee the quality of the food at Beast Burger, Donaldson said he prefers working on Feastables.
Although there are over 2,000 delivery locations for Beast Burger in North America and Europe, a now-deleted tweet pretty much confirms the end is night. "I started MrBeast Burger to help restaurants make more $ during the pandemic and it worked!" said Donaldson.
"But sadly when working with 2,000 restaurants I don't own it's impossible to guarantee the order quality." It's unclear why MrBeast deleted the tweet, but it could be in lieu of an official announcement about what the future of MrBeast Burger holds.

Click to enlargeOpening in the midst of the pandemic was a smart move to bring in extra income for Donaldson, however, it was a gamble. The first physical location broke the record "for most burgers sold in a day by a single restaurant," but it was a brief high.
MrBeast Burger items largely came from existing restaurants as additional menu options. There was a controversy that undercooked (or sometimes raw) burgers were being sent to customers, with it being logistically impossible for Donaldson to oversee quality control.
Alongside a collaboration with YouTuber Dream, MrBeast Burger also went viral for its Shrek Quesedilla and it seemed like things were going well. When someone asked whether MrBeast Burger will close, Donaldson explained he'd like to stop but won't be able to due to a licensing deal.
"I would if I could," said MrBeasst, "But the company I partnered with won't let me stop even though it’s terrible for my brand. Young beast signed a bad deal." We're not sure what's next for Beast Burger, but if you're a fan, we'd get munching while you can.
