It's an exciting time to be a Call of Duty fan, with Modern Warfare 3 on the horizon and a huge amount of details surrounding the title being released.

Whether it's the remastered return of the MW2 (2009) maps, Makarov being the main villain, or MW3 coming with a Zombies mode, Sledgehammer is certainly aiming to knock it out of the park in November.

However, sometimes CoD players are more interested in fundamental improvements to the game, rather than the flashy new additions. One example of this is the anti-cheat, and luckily, Activision has confirmed that RICOCHET enhancements will be coming with MW3.

In a recent blog post detailing a "new chapter in Call of Duty's Modern Warfare universe," the devs outlined some of the primary features coming in MW3.

Alongside the main additions came the news that RICOCHET improvements are on the cards, as well as "anti-toxicity plans to continue to deliver a fun, fair and welcoming online experience for all players."

While Activision has not revealed the exact details of these anti-cheat enhancements, we can expect significant changes, given that they're coming with a brand-new CoD title.

Cheaters are always a problem at the launch of a new CoD game, especially a few weeks after release. Keeping the multiplayer hacker-free would be a huge win for the devs, and receive massive praise from the community, it's just whether they can do it.

On top of anti-cheat additions, the blog post also mentions "anti-toxicity plans," which are slightly different. This usually refers to the way in which players treat each other and conduct themselves in-game.

In the previous RICOCHET blog with Season 4, Activision took action against malicious reporting, in an attempt to stop players from abusing the system. As a result, it's safe to say we can expect similar changes with MW3 that will hopefully improve the overall gameplay experience for the community.
