Logan Paul sets his sights on Kick contract
Kick isn't doing so bad for itself, even in spite of having an absolute giant to contend with. Stepping up to the plate to challenge Twitch of all platforms was a mighty stance to take, but it looks like it's paying off.
Aiming to free creators of the restrictions that Twitch has gradually introduced over the years, Kick has already bagged itself some big names in Felix "xQc" Lengyel and Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa. And now, it looks like another big name could be coming to the site.
Logan Paul shoots for a Kick partnership
In the latest episode of his ImPaulsive podcast, controversial YouTuber and boxer Logan Paul has jokingly offered to move over to Kick, but it wouldn't be much of a surprise to see him migrate to the site if it meets his offer.
Paul spent some time on the podcast confused about how Kick can finance the unbelievable deal that they offered xQc, bagging him in a non-exclusivity deal for $100 million. Although Paul isn't sure how this is sustainable, this is before he remembers that Kick is backed by a Crypto gambling service.
Knowing that Kick definitely has the money to be making such acquisitions, he turned the conversation to his potential move. With a desperate plea, Paul says, "What's up, unnamed platform? You want the number one podcast in the world? […] We can bring our booming audience over to y'all. 50 billion, we'll take it."
Is Logan Paul moving to Kick?
Click to enlargeLet's be perfectly honest - this is obviously a goof. Logan Paul, whether you worship at the Maverick altar or detest him, is absolutely minted and doesn't really need to worry about exclusivity deals right now.
However, if Kick did meet this demand (and who knows if it's in its wheelhouse), we'd worry about Paul if he didn't take it. Imane "Pokimane" Anys has already said she won't be moving to the green stream, while Dr Disrespect has teased he could be packing his suitcase.
The future of Kick is seemingly bright for high-end creators, and whether Logan Paul will be among them is anyone's guess. In the meantime, Kick might have some remortgaging to do to afford him.
